Default New to these silver arrows

Hi, I just bought a 1989 190E 2.6 with 128,000 miles for $1600. I've owned 2 Audi's before this and was looking to get another or a BMW but this was closer than any other car I was looking at and it caught my eye. First off the valve cover gasket leaks some oil, is this a pretty simple fix? I replaced the one on my 1985 Audi 4000S which was super easy and this doesnt seem that bad. Other than that the car is in excellent condition, idles smooth, the transmission holds itself on a hill (its the 4 spd auto) it was blowing some white smoke when I first started it up but the previous owner said its been sitting for 3 months and after about 15 minutes of idling the smoke cleared. I'm assuming this was just condensation since its been a rainy summer here in the north east.

I'll have more pictures soon with a real digital camera. Let me know what you think.
