Hey guys! Got myself a 2000 w210 I6 E320 Avantgarde Designo and have a quick Q

I seem to be missing the settings menu's to set the time (both hours & minutes) when cycling through the settings menu it jumps from 12/24 hr setting to Temperature.

Here's a vid to demonstrate the issue (I asked this Q on another forum but got no answer so hoping for some marvellous breakthrough here)

Just fixed the messed up pixels and now want to use the clock but it's like 11hrs out!

Anyone heard of missing menu parts before?

Hmmm, how about scrolling the other way? Pull the cluster, dicsonnect it it, wait a while, plug it back in, and see what happens, like a cold boot?

I dunno, but that's what I would try.

 

i think you use the 3 buttons on the side of the cluster +- 0 - ...or if you dont have them and nothings coming up in the cluster with the steering wheel controls to set the time then it means you do it threw the comand unit. most of the 210 chassis didnt have a comand with navigation if you have nav then i think you set it in the comand unit.

 

Yeah I've tried all those things (the buttons to the left of the cluster control the brightness of the dash illuminations and the R is to reset the menus / ODO - also tried). No command or sat nav here, this is driving me nuts, all the owners manuals I read show the hours and minutes settings menu's between the 12/24 and the temp oC/F. Mine just aint there!

I had the cluster out to do the pixel fix anyway, the menu screens haven't been there as long as I've owned the car.

One thing I've never done yet is disconnect the battery, might try that today and see if I can get the whole car to reset.
