I was going to suggest cps,but you did not mention the code and if they start to go bad no code,if they fail code.
www.autohausaz.com cheaper then the dealer
56 bucks free shipping
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...ition%20Sensor
mercedesshop.com diy section diy.
located at about the 1 oclock position looking from the front of the car on the top of the bellhousing area just behind the engine.Pop the hood up all the way with the hood button located on the hood hinge and use a good flashlight to see down there.
more diys for it on benzworld.org w210 section in the diy area at the top of the forum.

index the cps properly when you finish installing it.

I wish the check engine light would come on in my car...it won't...something is obviously teeing the computer off to the point where the engine acts goofy but will not trip the check engine.....that would be great....I swear the O2 sensor is shot but 90% of the time the car starts and runs great...it's the other 10% that leaves me with trepidation...and that's the most important 10%...plus I noticed in the rain today after driving the car that there was one of those little rainbow looking rings (as when petroleum mixes with water) right underneath the tail pipe...tells me engine running rich, unburned fuel coming out the exhaust...good luck on this issue

actually that sounds like a solenoid/starter issue...those Bosch starters are prone not retracting the arm...maybe...maybe not..just a thought...anyway...best of luck...cliff

you could always just jump the starter posts with a large screwdriver to see...it's pretty cool to anyway...but be careful

Don't ever jump the starter posts on a mb with das.The starting cycle needs to be generated by a rolling code supplied to the das system. You can royally screw up your ability to start the car.His code is cps, clear failure when it comes up,replace it and problem solved.
