my 08 E350 (recenlty purchased) has the navigation CD inserted by the Comand system continues to display please insert navigation CD?

Is there some trick to get the navigation CD to activate?

If anyone has run into this, please let me know.

 

that is not normal you could have a bad unit, maybe a deformed disk. should still be under warranty 4 yrs 50,000 miles, some of the E classes had the nav drive unit in the trunk on the left side panel.

 

Had the same problem myself when I purchased my 2004 E class. I took it back to the garage and they put another disk in and it's worked fine ever since. They said the disk must have been faulty, scratched, corrupt etc.
