Default My new vehicle

Hey guys....love the forum....here is my issue.
I am the new owner of a 1998 E320...love the car.
My drivers side low beam light goes out when I turn on the
brights. I have replaced the bulb, and checked all the fuses....
I am a chick and pretty handy with tools and such....but I am stumped
at what to do next.
Any help would be appreciated.

the high beam bulb is in the small lens. not in the same housing as the low beam. make sure your replacing the correct bulb. theres a small parking bulb below the high beam bulb.

I found out yesterday that my passenger side taillight assembly doesnt work at all....I guess this could all be connected? Now I just need to figure out what is wrong with the assembly. All three bulbs have been replaced.

usually the socket board where the sockets screw into go bad, they get hot and the plastic melts and then the board deforms and the bulbs wont work. more common with the bottom outside bulbs which are brake lights and park bulbs. where the sockets screw onto the tail light board. youll see burn marks where the sockets meet the board. youll most likely need new tail light assemblies.

Jenn if im not mistaken i havent noticed mine in a while but i think the big headlamp bulb goes out when you brighten the lights on all of them ,,,,the smaller one is the bright lamp bulb, and then on dim the big one shines,,,,with the turn signal bulb orange at the top of it,,,
