Default More Performance from a 2004 E500 4MATIC

Hi. I'm new to this, and would appreciate any help. Any suggestions on the most cost-effective and safe methods of getting more performance out of a 2004 E500 4MATIC? I bought it new, have taken great care of it, and want to keep it forever, but I'd also like to see if it could be a little faster. Thanks!

No, I haven't done the readapt procedure, because I don't know how. Could you please tell me, or let know where I can find out how? Thanks so much.
