modulator valve
Hey Guys,
I have 1995 124W, 320E
Reverse does not engage. All other gears runs just fine. I can't locate the modulator.
How come all other gears work while the reverse does not work? Modulator or I have more serious problem. I did all filter change and other stuff.
Can some body help me?

RE: modulator valve
not modulator.
worn out clutch disks on B3 reverse gear.
pull out the transmission and remove the oil pump. it's only on the front part. very easy.
you will see the friction discs... replace them all.

RE: modulator valve
it's easy to do.
you only need to remove the screws (figure 18), and you will already see the inner disc (figure 105).
you don't need to pull out the whole innards. just the front cover (figure 10).
