trans modulator valve
Help!
I have a 1989 190e
Aamco says I need a new modulator valve for my trans ($700)
the part is less than $60.
Is there any special tools or anything special I have to do to change this part?
I need help quick.

No special tools, as in Mercedes only special tools. Keep in mind that the 2.3 modulator is green; 2.6 modulator is red. Get the cap and seal as well. Installing is no big deal, adjusting the modulator valve vacuum pressure to get the shifting correct and suitable for you takes some skill.
