Default Michellin or Pirellis for My E420?

I will need new tires for my 94 E420 in a few months; my mechanic recommends either Michellin or Pirelli. On my previous (non-Benz) cars I've had Michellins and they served me well. I live in California, so harsh weather is not a concern. Any opinions on which brand would be best for my car? Price is not a concern...only the best for my Benz

Default RE: Michellin or Pirellis for My E420?

I like MIchelin better than Pirelli. I used to have a set of Pirelli P Zero Rosso on my clk430 and it wore out in less than 10,000 miles. The stock Michelin lasted more than 20,000 miles. So went back to Michelin again when the pirelli died.
