can someone tell me what a blendour is and does. Because my blower in my car doesn't come on until I hit a pot hole or a bump.It will stay on until i turn the car off. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 1995 s500 mercedes benz. Its getting cold in South Jersey.

 

Suspect you refer to BLENDER.
It mixes hot (off heater matrix) and cold air (off evaporator i.e. AirCon) to give the desired cabin temperature.

When I got my 1993 400e the blower was seized. The regulator had gone and the previous owner hadn't fixed it. (Toronto) MB always replaces the blower when they replace the regulator and I guess this is one reason - the blower will rust and seize in your climate if it is left imobilized.

I didn't have to replace mine - just a little careful cleaning and I ran it on the bench till it was free. That was 2 years ago.

I't a B*%#@! to get out but doesn't cost you anything. Clean out beneath it while you're at it. That's the regulator heat sink. ($510 part)
