RE: make your E Class accelerate as soon as you push the gas
All I can say is wow- after driving this car for 9 yrs my wife drives like a snail on a cold day. The reset worked bigtime! I have been complaining to the dealer for over 4 yrs about the sluggishness!
This forum is great! thanks!

RE: make your E Class accelerate as soon as you push the gas
Hey Ohlord,
Thanks again for the advice, as promised I wanted to update the other readers about my experience. As soon as I learned how to perform the reset (which was extremely easy) I did feel an immediate difference, but I wanted to try it a while before re-posting. Now that its been a day or two, I can say without a shadow of doubt that this made a significant impact. My car was definetely a sleeper and now reacts totally different. The main thing I notice is that when I hit the gas, I go. The sluggish, bearing down feeling I had is gone, and the sporty, light car feeling is back. There is great response, and my gas consumption is reporting the same.
After reading thru a lot of posts, it seems some people do this reset every few months as they may want a specific feel all the time, but their driving habits overall don't align perfectly with what the computer thinks. Either way it's easy to do and no strain on the car; the overallbenefit is better performance and a happier driver. And isn't that the reason we purchased a Mercedes to begin with! Thanks Ohlord for your advice and your participation in these forums, I really appreciate it.

Well now you have me curious. How would I access those features, and more importantly would I be looking at them simply for the "cool" factor, or would there be more manipulation that I could do.
I can understand wanting to see my engine temp, and battery voltage etc, but climate control? I am intrigued as to how you can access those features.
