Default maf sensor location for E200

Hi guys, my check engine light came on my 2001 E200, with 115K milesand I had a P0101 fault on it. By reading some the subject in this forum, it has something to do with mass air flow sensor.

I have reset the engine fault and light is now gone. I have tried to look for it around the air cleaner assy, disassemble itand i could not find it. DoI have a sensor or its located someplace?

Thanks guys for your advise.

Usually located in the tube between the air box and the intake, has port with harness plugged into it.Make sure the wires are plugged in and not frayed or bare.Check for loose fittings on the air box and intake tubing.renew your air filter. You cleared the code,it could have been a temp condition, see if it returns after doing the above.

Thanks ohlord, i found my maf air sensor and its located in the opposite side of the air cleaner assy. Just replace my air cleaner a few months ago, and will keep an eye on the fault if its shows up again. At least Im ready to replace the sensor if it needed be.

It could have been atemp condition on mymaf sensor. Thanks again.
