Default Lug nuts for E500 wheels conical or ball seat?

I purchased a set of Mercedes E500 wheels. Does anyone know if the proper lug nuts to use with those wheels are the conical type or the ball seat type? It looks like a ball seat type, but the conical lug nuts I have seem to seat better, but I am not definitely sure.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

All Mercedes Benz Genuine wheels use a ball seat on the wheel bolts, So unless you have non genuine wheels, I think It is safe to say ball seats are the go.

Mike:

What year/model car are you trying to fit them to?

I put E500 Sport wheels on my '96 W210, but only after purchasing special lug bolts to account for the 12mm-14mm change that Mercedes made in the early 2000s. This may be why your ball-seat lugs don't fit right.
