I was replacing the xenon light bulb on a 2006 e350 when I dislodged the circlip that holds the bulb in place. Does anyone know if the metal piece that the circlip attaches to is removal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

On the 2006 E350 HID projector, the circlip locks onto a fixed retaining ring that’s part of the bulb holder inside the projector, not something that normally comes out separately. If the clip popped off, you usually need to fish it out of the housing (magnet/pick tool), then reseat the D2S bulb fully and https://tropical-casino.com/ snap the clip back into its grooves. Don’t force the bulb; if it’s not seated flat, the clip won’t latch and you can crack the igniter.
