Default location and testing of oil pressure sensor

I am trying to locate my oil pressure sensor on a 95 E420. I thought that I read it was around or inside the oil filter housing but I did not locate it with my last oil change. I noticed that there are a number of sensors coming off the intake manifold under the smaller front plastic cover. Is it one of these?

What I am trying to resolve is what appears to be dying oil pressure at idle once I reach about 85c. I am not having heating problems as the car never goes over 90c even during our recent 108F days during 5pm stop and go traffic. I also have no leaks, smoke, lifter, valve or other oil starvation symptoms. RPM's above 1500 will produce normal pressure. I know this does not rule out crank bearing but hope it give some evidence against it?

I read a thread at one point that looked as if the person disconnected the sensor and grounded it to test the oil pressure needles functionality?

I am despirately trying to determine if I have a sensor problem or an oil pump failure in the making.
