Howdy. My 1995 E320 sedan somehow is caught in what has been told to me as "limp mode" and will not upshift to 3rd. Car does have original bio-crap wiring harness and was told that needed to be addressed first. Ordered a new harness from Kurth Classics in Germany and paid about 450 less than what my local MB dealer wanted, should have it within a week, 825 shipped to my door. Anyone have any other info I need to address the limp mode issue please chime in. It was rebuilt about a year before I bought the car so I'm thinking it has to be related to the engine or TBA harness. Thank you.

Installed new wiring harness today from Kurth Classic Autoparts in Germany. Part was beyond perfect! Took about 2 hours to remove old one and install new one. Used the "remove and replace" method. I'm not that mechanically inclined and yet I found it to be rather easy job, couple of tight spots but should I have to do it again it will be much easier and faster! Car runs much better and getting no codes from my on board diagnostic box. Still stuck in "limp mode" and now assume its the secondary harness that needs replacing. Will I need to take the car into Mercedes shop and have transmission "reset" or whatever?
