Default Instrument Panel lighting

How do I change a Instrument light on my 1998 E-320 wagon? The right side of the instrument panel lighting is dimmer than the center and the left. This includes the clock being much dimmer. I'm guessing that I need to change one light bulb behind the instrument cluster.

hi msherman01, all thats needed there is to get the instrument panel pulled out and replace the bulbs. theres no nuts or bolts it just pulls out and slots back in. tip: bend two butter knifes and use them to pop the panel out. goodluck

Hi, just wondering if this is the same procedure for my 1989 260e? I have the same problem.

Here you go guys! Did it myself after reading this. I bought the tools from the dealer. Total cost for tools and bulbs came to about $16.
