Default Injection Pump

I was just told by the Mercedes dealer that my 95 E300D has a fuel leak and that I need a new injection pump. Parts and installation to cost $2500. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice?

yup sounds like you have some injection nozzles seals leaking. most dealers don't know but yes you can get these seals you just have to look on other cars with the same motor to find these seals. most people at dealers don't think outside the box they just want to replace the whole part(less liability) so tell them to find the seal and just replace the seal. i bet the fuel lines that attach to the pump are also leaking too. so you better replace them to
