I have recently got another 1995 E220 estate that the infra red remote will not work and will not synchronise. Keys both work in the locks. They both flash on button test and I have changed batteries three times. No flashing at all on either lock receiver. Vacuum system works 100% on key. No problem on other car. Any ideas before I take the system out of old car?

it means that the DAS doesn't recieve any authorization signal.

press the button momentarily.

lock or unlock vehicle using the folding key in lock cylinder within 30 seconds.

that's all.

 

Still nothing, tried on passenger door and boot but no sound, no action.
