Inde garage near Central London or Warwick
Anyone recommend an independent specialist for a B service for an e320 cdi?
It has 80k and full MB history, but I'm loathed to send it in to a dealer this time, they just don't do the job right - even for the money they charge!
Thanks

So what is your expectation?
Basically all they do is change the oil and filters and give the car a once over. Any garage should be abl;e to do this without any difficulty.
It is in their interests to do the "once over" thoroughly because anything they find is NOT covered by the basic (LOL) cost and is charged extra.
Snag is that all dealers (not just MB) place a lot of reliance on Service Stamps when establishing trade in prices. In short it is a fix (rip off) since the car could have been as well looked after in the independent sector but since this is outside MB control
No MB service history a= less than normal trade in price.
However once a car hits circa 100k you have to look at whether spending large sums on routine maintenance with an MB dealer is cost effective. My view is that it is not. It totally undermines the potemntially low cost of ownership of an older MB.
UK MB dealerships IMHO are first rate at resolving (difficult) issues. This doesn't appear to be the case in the USA where the set up is entirely different.
HOWEVER THIS EXPERTISE COMES AT A VERY HIGH COST.
