I have a 4matic 1999 e320 w211 (082) that hasn't seen a European mechanic in 10 plus years. shortly after changing the shocks (struts), something in the engine broke. it was either the timing chain or a rod. it has a few other problems but the body and frame are pretty good if you're interested 541 and 361-9378.
