I have mercedes E230 nodel 2009, today while driving I got an error on speedometer "Tyre Pressure, Check Tyres" with color of the speedometer light was turned to red.
then I checked the pressures of the tyres and after that i can find message on speedometer saying "Check tyres, then restart, run flat indicator". I did not understand this, can anyone tell me what exactly I have to do in order to fix this message? many thanks in advance!

Solution
Press the menu option on the steering wheel till you get to the temperature. press the up or down key until you get to see 'Run Flat: Active'. Then press the reset key (the key near the steering wheel to reset counter) that should do the job. I hope this helps. if u need further assistance on this, email kennyolateru@btinternet.com

What it means
Most new models of Mercedes are equipped with tyre pressure monitoring system. If any of your tyres are losing pressure, the sensor will recognise this problem and notify you on the dashboard before your tyre goes completely flat.
So every time you have lost pressure on any tyre, you need to reset the sensor to notify it that everything is fine. To be honest, sometimes the tyre pressures look ok, but the message still comes on. It's better to just double check and then follow procedures in my previous post to reset it. Best of luck.
