I disconnected my negative ground cable so the pump would stop attempting to raise the vehicle overnight as I was installing new air struts. Shut the trunk and don't have knife the key. Is there a way to connect a battery under the hood to be able to use the release button in drivers door or flip the rear seats forward so I can connect terminal manually? The positive is still connected.

 

I am subscribing to this thread because we have this same problem on MB's we repossess all the time. Causes a huge problem for us because we can't access the trunk to remove debtor's personal property.
