Default How big can you go?

Hi to to forum.
Just purchased a 95' e320 coupe in standard spec. I'm looking to buy some bigger wheels, possibly some AMG replicas. Would like to go for 18's.....Would these rub? What width and size tyre would suit best. How much can you lower once on 18's?

Keep in mind the car will have four guys in most of the time.

Help is appreciated.

Cheers!
