My wife loves her 1991 300e Mercedes and so do I. I have never had aproblem with it until just this week. We live over 70 miles from a dealer. The problem is the hood latch wont open or release the hood. I cant see any way to get to the latch? The cable isnt broke and I can just see the cable end under the hood behind the grill movingback and forth. Cananyone help me! How can I get her hood open from outside the car? Even though I am sure the cable isnt broken it may as well be. So if the cable from the handle was broke how would someone manually get the hood open? I'd take it to the dealer but the Low Coolant indicator is on and I dont want to take the chance it might overheat the engine. I also would like to save the cost of having the dealer repair this. Please Help. Thank You
