Hi all,

New to the forum. My 96 E320 cranks but doesn't start. I replaced the CPS sensor and still doesn't start. I noticed that my remote does not work to lock or unlock the car. Also my central lock button does not work either and my interior lights stay on (With all the doors closed). I also noticed that when I try to start the car the green and red light on the rear view mirror flash (Not at the same time). Can anyone help???? [X(]

 

I had similar problem and the MB Dealer mechanics described your case exactly and the suggested problem is Relay K-40 under the hood inside the polution compartment by the passenger side ( looks like battery housing. it cost on internet about $100, dealer price $ 147

 

Thanks for your response. As far as getting he car to run, I tried the other set of keys I have for it and it started right up. Although I haven't driven the car, I start it and let it run every few days and it seems to run fine. Unfortunetly I still have all the other probelms....
