Default Help With No Brake lights 95 E420

I need some help.My 1995 E420 has no brake lights.I just put a new Brake light switch in (Brand New from dealer) and still no brakes lights. It has power into and out of the brake light switch.Power gets to the light modual. If I supply power to the wires at the modual the brake lights come on.I switched out the modual with a differant one and still not brake lights. All other lights work, headlights, tail lights turn signal. It has gorund at the modual.I am at wits end.It makes no sence that I have power to the modual and the brake switch is sending the signal to the modual but still no brake lights.

Don't know specifics of 1995 E420 and I don't have my workshop info available.

Likely your brake lights are controlled digitally in which case circuitry is not simple power in etc.

Modual?. = Module?

Presumably you are referring to the black box with yellow tubes coming out of it. Known as PSE. If so these are a common cause of problem.

Dude... the Brake lite housing.... when you push and twist in the bulb... when it gets too hot it melts the plastic part and bends the mretal plate.. and cuts the circuit... ...saw it happen... check it out first...almost sure that's what happened...??
