I recently purchased a 1998 E300 TD with 50K mile. I love the car but for a couple of things. First there is so little room in the console or glove and that telephone takes up so much room I would like to remove it. Anyone have any information on how todis-assemble the center dash so I can get the radio out? Secondly I would like to upgrade the sound system. I purchased a new head unit and adn looking for the specs on the speakers. I do hot have the OEM Bose system so I need to know what speakers I have so I can decided to change them out if needed.

 

Console,ask over on mbworld.org w210 forum,look for console posts,by raymond.Also youtube w210 some of the mb shop videos have been posted and are good tips.to get the radio out just takes the special keys that fit in the sides of the radio.But don't jump to do it just yet,speakers are 2ohm,not a normal install in the benz,so find those posts and read up,first,before diving in and tearing up.
