Hi,

I just changed the starter of my 96 320e myself and now i can't turn the ignition key. Right after changing the starter the ignition key wasn't turning so I figured it was locked. Read online that turning the radio on while turning it would do the trick and it worked once, so I left the car in my garage over night and in the morning it wasn't turning again. the key would go into the ignition but would not turn at all even with wiggling the stearing wheel or turning the radio on. I then read it may work if you unhook the battery cables, clean them and put them back on which reset the radio but ignition didn't turn.

How can I get the car to work now?
Please Help.
