Default Help with "headlights"

Hi all - a newbie here!

I am having a few issues since I ran thru a HUGE puddle last night - ok so it was more like a mini lake... guess I was supposed to stay home instead of heading off to the hockey game last night as I had to get my SO to come out and jump the car and then stay behind me all the way home... he was less than thrilled about that !

I lost my lights and my radio andmy instrument panel... had only the head lights and the heater for company. Tthe turn signals in front and the lights that sit by the headlights will still not work- city lights I think they are called... I just replaced all the fuses in the fuse box as most were shot after my puddle incident now everything is working but my city lights - am I missing something?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the bulbs? Water may be in the sockets preventing them from working.

Default Help with "headlights"

I went to the local Claridges (dealer) this AM and bought all new bulbs for the front - got the 2 head lights, the blinkers/parking lights and the 2 middle lights (bulbs with the wire attached) and replaced them along with all the fuses in the fuse box just to make sure everything was new and undamaged. Before I put them in, I took that canned air stuff and blew out the sockets to dry out what residual water may have been left in after my swim in the puddle lake .

Now the only thing that is not working is the 2 middle lights closest to the grill (the ones with the wire attached), andI have no manuals or anything (got the car used in 1999) so I cannot even tell what those lights are or where they have fuses or wires ...

I guess my next stop my be my mechanic, just hoping thiswas ansmall easy to do fix, and I don't want to pay someone to change a fuse or bulb. Guess it may be more than that, like my water pump and head gasket ...

I will go recheck the areas for water and thanks for the suggestion Dale .

I think you may be talking about the fog lights (2 middle lights closest to the grill). Pull out on your light switch to see if they come on.
