Default headlights

how hard is it to change out headlights on a 2001 mercedes e320?

you have to remove the front bumper not totally but remove it partially frontward then you can pull the light out. there are screws for the headlights on the side of the bumper behind the bumper side marker. so you need to remove bumper out of the way for access to screws.

do you mean replace the whole headlight assembly to give it the 2003+ look (HID)? or do you just mean the bulb inside the headlight housing?

well i was shooting for a 2003 e320 look. or hid swap as well. my wife drives the car and wants to change the headlights because they are too oxidized even for me to clear up. its from the inside. the previous owner had the car in nevada in the sun all the time. any suggestions? projectors? hid?

I just got my headlight unit from the FedEx guy the other day. I'm in a 2000 E430 with OEM H7 heiadlights. Do I just use those headlights? or do I have to buy the D2S bulb and change the fuse too? Because if I do get the D2S lights, don't i need a new ballast and HID kit?

Install is direct replacement.
If you want HID, then you need HID kit with H7 HID bulbs.
