Default Headlight bulb replacement

How in the sam hill do you get to the left hand headlight bulb on a 2011 E350 with halogen lights? The right hand light is easy to access but the left is buried. The owners manual says to take it to the dealer to have the left bulb replaced. My nearest dealer is 150 miles away. I ordered some Osram 65W rallye bulbs to try to make the headlights better. I live in west Texas and on rural two lane blacktop roads the bloody e code lights are next to useless.

Only way to get to the left light is to remove the wheel well inner liner, a real PIA. The right has easier access but the hole is so small you can't get much grip on the bulb holder.
The Osram 65 watt bulbs are a good bit brighter,2100 lumens vs 1450 for the stock bulb.
The lights are aimed too low. I found the adjuster on top of the light assembly. Anyone know which way to turn them to get the light to go up?

Default 2006 E500 Low Beam Bulb Replacment

Whoever at Mercedes designed the left headlight assembly on the W211 ought to be shot. There is no way in hell to change out that low beam H7 bulb without totally mutilating your hand and arm or taking the whole front end apart. Come on guys this is a wear item and should be designed for easy access and w/o having to take the car back to the delaer. Anyone with any tricks to doing this bulb change out, I'm all ears!

Question 2008 C300 bulb question

Does anyone know if there are (is) bulb upgrades for my 2008 C300 sport 4matic over the OEM bulbs? I am looking for whiter, brighter improvements while staying legal. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time and courtesy

Default 2006 W211 Headlight bulb replacement

I finally solved the riddle on changing out the drivers side headlight bulb. The coolant overflow tank is attached with a small hold down bolt to the chassis. This needs to be removed and the tank is held in place with a push grommet. Simply pop this up and move the tank to the side. This allows clear access to the front headlight so you can remove and replace the bulb with no cut hands or fingers!

This is the only working solution I found. It's took a dummy like me 5 minutes to move the overflow tank aside and another 5 minutes to replace the bulb. Thanks!
