I have a 260E MB 1987. It start very well when cold, but once I run with it for a while I cannot get it to start. It takes a while to start. Any subjectios?

I see that your from NY, so with that understanding of the cooler weather in the north. Your car may be experencing a momentary vapor lock on the fuel line in the engine compartment. What is the temp gauge of your engine? and How long do you useually let the car sit without running before you try starting it again? I understand that your vehical is EFI and that really shouldn't happen with that type of fuel system. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Just a couple things for you to look in to and check. Hope this helps!
