2008 E320 Blutec. my GPS antenna went out. Dealer of course wanted $800 to fix. F that. My nav is down, which i dont use, but my direction of travel on dash is down. i have the fiber optic bose system. I recently saw a video on youtube of some Russian guy take a aftermarket GPS antenna and plug it into the head unit, mount the small antenna under the dash and he had gps on his nav unit. I called a parts place and they needed to know who made the head unit so they know which plug it uses. Has anyone used this type of set up? My e320 has the shark fin on top. Guess water got under it and wires fried. Just want everything to work. The Mercedes SOS system is down also. Keeps showing up on start up. annoying
