Glove Box won't close e430

Glove Box won't close e430
Yesterday I opened my glovebox in my 2001 E430 and the damn thing won't close now. Does anyone know how to open the latch or how it works? It appears as though the latch is stuck closed so it won't close. Any help greatly appreciated.
