Ihave a91 300e and whenI accelerate from stoped pos. the rear wheels seem to spin but only for a second and not all the time more so if Ii give it more gas. Only happens from stopped position. Trans was rebuilt 2 yrs ago. 2 wheel drive.
any ideas as to the cause please advise

cause spinning implies over accerlation while slipping would indicate a drivetrain issue as you have described. I would guess slipping and a flex disk would not cause that but I think that your slipping feeling as you describeis symptomatic with mercedes automatics...who makes the 300eautomatic transmission anyway? I have always been interested...ZF?
