I need an answer to this problem. I want to buy a Pioneer AVIC-X3-II. I need to know if this will fit and operate in my car, which is a Mercedes E220 Cabriolet 1995 W124 series. I have asked this question and I have not been given a positive answer. Because of this non positive outcome, this is preventing me from paying over a £1000 plus. I would like you to look into this problem for me as I really do want to buy this unit, but I need a positive yes it will or no, your out of luck. You will see when you investigate the the recess is for a single DIN unit, but there is a over hang which may or may not interfear with the working of the system.
