Exhaust for Mercedes E320 - 2002 model
Hi!
We have a Merc E320 2002 , 3,2 L, 224 HK.
Suddenly a slammering-noise has come from the catalyst on the exhaus, and Mercedes says I have to change both exhaust systems to a cost of close to $5000 for the parts only.
Are there any tips here than may help me? Can I change only one catalyst, can I find unoriginal exhaust systems or something similar?
Appreciate help!

Good lord. Find a good independant Mercedes shop... one that works on German cars... tell them that ONE of your cats is rattling and needs to be replaced. Have them work up a quote. Should cost about $500 to $600 per cat. $5000 for the dealer to do the job? RUN RUN RUN RUN...
