Default Engine hick ups

Hi ...
First of all sorry in advance for my "poor" english ...[&:]
Here's the question ...
I have a E250 W210 1996. Usually it runs fine ( although sluggish from time to time ) but sometimes something odd happens when i step on the gas ...
The engine kind of "cuts off" for a second or two and then it kind of "kicks off" and accelerate. It happens more frequently on low engine regime ...
Any ideas on what might cause it ?
Thanks in advance

Go to Diesel Discussion Forum for Diesel mechanical advice. Your chassis may be an E class, but the engine and the problems that you are experiencing are better suited for a diesel enthusiast. Best of luck to you![8D]
