Engine 102 fuel injection to carburettor

Default Engine 102 fuel injection to carburettor

I have engine number 102962 which
is fuel injection. I want to convert this
Engine to carburettor. And I want to
Install a mechanical fuel pump.
Do I have to change the camshaft which
Drives the mechanical fuel pump and
Is such camshaft found in any other
Engine. Thanks

This is a tall order. The short answer is maybe. I suggest you talk to an automotive machine shop or an auto wrecker specialising in older Merc. cars. Perhaps a polite letter to Mercedes of Germany may get a very accurate response. Another option may be to find a aftermarket camshaft sales outlet on the net and ask them for advise.
