Default Is this E500 Sport a good deal?

Hello everyone, I'm new to this Forum and wanted to say hi, and ask a question about a 2003 E500 Sport my wife is looking at. I figured I'd ask what everybody's opinion is of the car and see if you think the price is far. They are asking $26,750.00 for it, it has 53,000 miles. The car seems to be in excellent condition, except for the obvious things that I assume are comon to a car 4 or 5 years old. Hazey headlightys, ashtray cover broken. The owner of the small luxury car sales indicate the wheels ARE Mercedes but I have my doubts. He said they were AMG wheels, but I can't find any AMG logo on them.

The details say this: Black on Black

VIN #
WDBUF70J43A097508

E500- SPORT PACKAGE.WITH THE UPGRADED SPORT PACKAGE RIMS, BLACK ON BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR, LOADED WITH OPTION FROM THE SPORT PACKAGE TO THE XENON HEADLIGHTS,HEATED SEATS,FACTORY PHONE, SPORT TRIM AND MUCH MORE.

I would be leary of any dealer selling an E500 anywhere near it's market value, may be a damaged car, repaired outside of the insurance purvue, that way they can keep a clear carfax.
The quality of the 03 is suspect, you would be better off finding an 00-01.
those are the amg sport package wheels. But something is fishy with that price, beware of dealers!!!!! if she really just has to have it,make sure you get it inspected by a good shop of your choosing and an excellent top tier body shop,I smell fish!

private party low miles 2003 Mercedes E500 - $23000 ca. car
2003 Mercedes Benz E500, Silver Sedan (27,350 mi) - $28950
2003 MERCEDES E500, 47K mi, XENON, DVD, FULLY LOADED, AMG WHEELS, NICE - $22000 this one is an example of a mint condition salvage repair car very nice job but the price reflects the salvage title.
All 3 would take less with a solid cash offer. If you cant pay cash and must finance get a pre approved credit union loan so they think you are a cash buyer. Both cars could be had for thousands less if you deal that way.

that is more like it,however with the quality issues of the late model benz I would really shop around.

that seems like a fair price considering the miles are kind of high. those are amg wheels but they could also be imitations. it's hard to tell just by looking at the picture. i wouldpersonally preferto buy from a private party rather than the dealership since the dealers usally tends to make a profit from each sale.
