Default E500 help

just purchased my 2nd Benz a 2005 E500 sport with 44K miles on it black on black, everytime I crank the car it says either Class C or Class D service is overdue 445 miles??? I am new to Benz and glad I found this forum but what does this mean and how much will it cost, and how long can I ignore it?

1 key on #1 position
2 go to mph display in the cluster
3 press trip odometer **** three times (QUICK) voltage will appear on display
4 Select service menu using + or -
5 Service Indicator Displays Items
6 Press the menu systems button until the MPH display appears

p.s.look up in your manual what service schedule is due and do it yourself, plenty of help here if you need tips
