Default E500 4 matic wheels

I have a 2005 e500 4matic with stock OEM17" alloy wheels. Currently 245 45 zr17 99w tires.

Can I switch to 18" x 8.5" chrome wheels with 245 40 zr18 93w tires, or will it cause a problem?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes you could, same rolling diameter. However you do not note the offset(ET)of the new rim or what it is off of.And chrome is not a good thing on mb that is why it is not a factory option.Chips, rusts and poor sealing, all make it a poor choice.

most after market companys only offer a one year warranty on chrome surfaces.

Ohlord, thanks! The ones I was thinking of were the wrong offset. You saved me a bunch of money!

Inkguy:
What is the ET of your 17" wheels?
If you go 18", I may have a use for them.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Dave
