Default E500 2002 questions

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help with these Q's:

1. My model (E500 Elegance) is fitted with Air Suspension..... So far, it seems to be VERY good. Can anyone explain what the sessting alter, on the face of it it seems to change the damper rates ans lower the ride height. I'd like to know any more info if anyone has any.

2. The car has a habit of surging forward when pulling away, just now and again. I'm thinking there may be something wrong (dirty) with the throttle.... Any advice (the cars done 33k miles).

3. I hear a compressor periodically. I think it's for the brakes as it comes on if I get in the car and apply the brake. It seems to come on a lot, even when I'm not using the brakes, if it IS for the brakes I'm thinking there could be an airleak (vacuum?).

4. When I first drove the car (it's a RHD, UK model), water dripped onto my left foot (resting on the foot rest) and ankle. It had just had the AC re-gassed and it WAS raining. The drivers foot well was extreamly damp. Although its dry now, I'm concerned were the water was coming from, I suspect it was something to do with the re-gassing of the AC.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Leicester, England.

Default RE: E500 2002 questions

With respect to #3, I note that the compressor/pump seems to activate every minute or so when driving without using the brakes. I'm thinking it may be linked to the Air suspension, can someone advise.
