Default E430 Oil Change...

Looking for guidance on what type of oil and filter to use on a 1998 E430. I searched the forum but all the E series posts on oil changes seem to be E320's. What weight oil should I use and is there a filter I can get at an auto parts store rather than paying the dealer 5 times the cost? Also, what type of transmission fluid do I use?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

I have a 2000 E430 but I assume they are the same. Mobil 1 0W40. 8 qrts. I buy my filters from autopartswarehouse.comor. benzbin.com. They are $11 a piece. I buy 4 or 5 at a time to avoid shipping cost(and no sales tax).

You can use mobil 1 oil for your AT Fluid it's either you use MB ATF Fluid you can buy this at any local MB dealer or Royal Purple.
