Default e430 lamp defective

So I recevied a "defective lamp" warning the other day and in checking the front left parking light appeared to be burnt out. I replaced it with a new bulb, yet it still doesn't work and the 'lamp defective' warning still shows. What to do next?

thx

Default RE: e430 lamp defective

Was the displaced lamp "blown"? (visual, multimeter or try in the other side)
Sure the new bulb is good? (multimeter or try in the other side)
Is there power at the bulb holder terminals. (multimeter)
Are the terminals corroded?
Is the spring loaded nature of the terminals still present?

I believe the fuses on E class lighting are of the electronic type. (auto reset). However as a last possibility have you checked the fuses?
