Default E320 Engine powerwash

Newbie wants to powerwash the engine bay with a home 1700 psi powerwash unit. What areas of the engine - if any - should I cover to prevent water infiltration? I don't see any oil accumulation. Most of the dirt looks to be road grime and dust. I would be using car wash solution as the detergent for cleaning. I know this can be done, but I want to assure the car restarts after I take the pressure washer to the engine bay. Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks

Default Don't use 1700 psi

power unit.
Do a search on the w210 forum for wash engine.
Use gunk foamy engine brite, cover cold air intake and alternator and follow the direction you find on the forum.
1700psi will cause more harm than anything,do not use it.
A hose is perfect with the right procedure.
