I just got an email from MB that MBUSA will reintroduce a diesel (turbo) engine in the 2005 E320. I have driven in the euro version. Very smooth and great torque.</P>

The US needs to reintroduced more diesel engines. The big three are surely colluding to keep mileage down and sales up.</P>

BTW: The A-CLass import proposal has been cancelled!</P>

 

It's true! MB will import a V8 TDI that is said to have 300 Horsepower! It will debut in the S-Class firts and, I'm sure, will find its way into the E-Class just to make things interesting. Mercedes is slow to provide what its biggest customer base wants. The Mercedes is the only luxury car in the world that puts a cassette/radio in the dash of a $57-157,000 car. The developed nations of the world have been listening to music on CD for twenty years! P.
