E320 cabriolet seats
No replies to my first post, so thought I'd try once more.
My newly purchaseddream car (95 E320 cabriolet 29,000 mi) has seats that tilt forward...at any time, evenwhile driving. My understanding is that they should only tilt forward when the motor is running and the door is ajar, or when the seat release button is pressed. The owners manual describes pneumatics being involved in the system.
Naturally I want everything in my Mercedes to work as a Mercedes should. My "boutique" Mercedes repair shop is not quite sure how to remedy, and the dealer quoted hundreds just to investigate...not to resolve.
Could it be as simple as an air hose that needs to be reconnected behind the seat back?? I am simply at a loss.
Really....any advice would be appreciated, I know we all want to keep our pride and joys just right.
Thanks in advance,
David
