E280 W124 final ratio
Hello,
I am a new member and i would like to have your opinion about a mod i want to make.I recently bought a Mercedes E280 W124 '93 with 5 speed manual transmission.The final ratio is 3.67 and i think it is very short.Since i am very often driving on the highway i was thinking to change it with a longer,but i don't know which is the best for my car. 3.46 or 3.27?Any opinions?

E300? USA? got ASD? ABS? ASR? your VIN (124028 ** ******)?
3.46 or 3.27 doesn't make much difference.
since it's manual transmission, you can go down to 2.65. it would be fun.

It's European model and the VIN is 124028... Don't you think 2.65 will be very 'long'?Now with 3k the speed is 75mph.I want by 3k to have 85mph
